Renault is accelerating product development for India and plans to offer seven multi-energy models by 2030 as it seeks to make the country one of its three largest global markets.
The company said future products would include factory-fitted CNG, new powertrains, turbocharged engines, hybrids, electric vehicles and updated digital and electronic architecture.

Renault is moving from the CMFA architecture used for the Kwid, Kiger and Triber towards the Renault Group Entry Platform for value-segment products.
For larger scale and electrification, the company plans to use the Renault Group Modular Platform as the foundation for its next phase of growth.
Management described India as a key market with strong engineering capability, while acknowledging Renault’s currently limited passenger-vehicle share.
The strategy’s success will depend on product timing, localisation, safety and emissions compliance, charging and service support, price positioning and the ability to gain volume in a highly competitive market. The seven-model target remains a forward-looking company plan.
