Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.7 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung on Saturday, 1.2 degrees above normal and marginally lower than the previous day.
Palam recorded 25 degrees Celsius, Lodhi Road 26.6 degrees and Ayanagar 26.9 degrees. The India Meteorological Department forecast cloudy skies through the weekend, with no rain expected and a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius.
The city’s Air Quality Index was 133 at 9 am, remaining in the ‘moderate’ category and slightly above the previous day’s 24-hour average of 128, according to Central Pollution Control Board data.
The combination of above-normal night-time temperature, cloud cover without rain and moderate air quality indicates limited atmospheric relief. Continued monitoring of humidity, wind, local emissions and heat exposure remains relevant, particularly for outdoor workers, older residents and people with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.
