JSW Steel’s consolidated crude-steel production rose 3 per cent year on year to 24.65 lakh tonnes in August 2026, compared with 23.82 lakh tonnes a year earlier.
Indian output increased 4 per cent to 23.87 lakh tonnes, and domestic capacity utilisation improved to 88 per cent from 87 per cent in July. Consolidated production also rose sequentially from 24.02 lakh tonnes in July.
Production at JSW Steel USA-Ohio declined 11 per cent year on year to 0.78 lakh tonnes, although it recovered from 0.63 lakh tonnes in July.
The figures show domestic operations driving growth while the US unit remains below the previous year’s level. Production volume alone does not establish profitability; realisation, product mix, raw-material and energy costs, maintenance, exports and demand will determine financial performance.
