India has presented investment opportunities across oil and gas exploration, manufacturing, refining, petrochemicals, gas infrastructure and strategic storage to international energy companies and investors in Singapore.
The India Energy Showcase was led by Petroleum and Natural Gas Secretary Neeraj Mittal and included presentations on current exploration bidding, BP’s Indian operations and India Energy Week 2027.

Officials highlighted the Samudra Manthan National Offshore Exploration Mission, approved with a stated outlay of USD 8.85 billion through 2030-31, and the OALP Round X and XI bidding rounds for deep- and ultra-deepwater blocks.
The government said India’s energy demand is growing three to four times faster than the global average and invited equity investment, joint ventures, technology partnerships and long-term supply arrangements.
Reforms presented included HELP, OALP, the Discovered Small Field policy, the Coal Bed Methane programme, the amended oilfields law and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Rules, 2025. Officials said these measures had opened more than 99 per cent of previously restricted offshore acreage and introduced regulatory timelines.
BP described its participation in KG-D6 and technical support for Mumbai High and Western Offshore fields. The event also promoted India Energy Week 2027, scheduled for January 28-31 in Kolkata.
Investor response will depend on geological data quality, fiscal stability, approval timelines, infrastructure access, commercial discoveries and contract enforcement. Showcase participation should therefore be distinguished from committed capital and successful production.
