Sumadhura Group plans to invest Rs 400 crore in a Grade A industrial and logistics park at Red Hills, marking the Bengaluru-based developer’s entry into the Chennai market.
The proposed project will cover 52 acres along the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road and provide approximately 1.2 million square feet of warehousing capacity. Completion is targeted for December 2028, and the developer estimates that the facility could support nearly 2,500 jobs.

The park is intended for manufacturers, automotive businesses, e-commerce companies and third-party logistics operators. Plans include common business facilities, safety and security systems, amenities and sustainability-related features.
Its North Chennai location offers access to highways, the airport and the wider port ecosystem comprising Chennai, Ennore and Kattupalli. Sumadhura already operates a roughly 2.5-million-square-foot logistics park at Hoskote in Bengaluru.
The investment reflects demand for professionally managed warehousing, but the project’s impact will depend on approvals, construction delivery, tenant commitments, road and port connectivity and the verification of employment and sustainability claims as development proceeds.
