Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.7 degrees Celsius on Monday, 1.2 degrees above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department.
The Ridge station recorded the city’s lowest minimum temperature at 22.8 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded 24.4 degrees, Ayanagar 26.7 degrees and Lodi Road 27.2 degrees.
No rainfall was recorded during the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am. The IMD forecast partly cloudy skies without rain and a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s average Air Quality Index was 118, placing it in the ‘moderate’ category under Central Pollution Control Board standards.
The combination of above-normal night-time temperature, dry conditions and moderate air quality warrants continued monitoring of heat exposure and local pollution, particularly for outdoor workers and people with respiratory or cardiovascular vulnerabilities.
