Kshema Power has secured an order from an unnamed independent power producer to develop critical transmission infrastructure for a 315 MW wind-energy project in Karnataka.
The project includes the supply, civil works and commissioning of approximately 33 kilometres of 220 kV single-circuit transmission line on double-circuit and multi-circuit towers.
The scope also covers associated unit substations, 33 kV transmission infrastructure, electrical balance-of-plant work and procurement of approvals required for high-voltage transmission.
The company did not disclose the identity of the client, contract value, project location, execution schedule or commissioning deadline.
Kshema Power said it has executed more than 5.2 GW of renewable-energy infrastructure globally, including over 4,500 MW of wind engineering, procurement and construction work, more than 2,000 kilometres of transmission lines and over 2,400 MVA of substation capacity.
Transmission availability is a critical constraint in renewable-energy deployment because generation assets cannot operate effectively without timely grid evacuation. The integrated scope could reduce coordination risk between civil, electrical and approval processes.
Assessment of the project’s significance will require disclosure of the customer, order value, right-of-way status, grid-connectivity approvals, completion milestones, performance guarantees and any exposure to delays in land access or tower construction.
