Jindal Stainless has entered into a technical-assistance agreement with Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation to strengthen quality and manufacturing practices for selected ferritic stainless-steel grades.
Ferritic grades are used in automotive components, railway coaches, kitchen equipment, industrial machinery and construction because of their corrosion resistance, durability and relatively low life-cycle costs.
JFE Steel will provide technical support for grades specified in the agreement. Jindal Stainless managing director Abhyuday Jindal said the relationship would build capability across people, processes and operating practices.
Jindal Stainless reported annual turnover of Rs 42,955 crore in 2025-26 and had 16 manufacturing and processing facilities in India and overseas as of March 2026.
The commercial terms and performance targets were not disclosed. The partnership’s value should be assessed through measurable improvements in yield, defect rates, consistency, energy use, product qualification and the growth of higher-value applications.
