More than 500 institutional investors, pension funds and family offices are expected to participate in the inaugural iBRICS Summit in New Delhi on September 12 and 13, according to organisers.
The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute said participating institutions collectively manage more than USD 1 trillion. The event is being convened alongside the 18th BRICS Summit and is intended to connect long-term capital with infrastructure, energy and digital-capacity projects across 21 member and partner countries.

Organisers said discussions would address shifting trade routes, tariff and sanctions pressures and the cost of dollar-based clearing. The agenda also includes links between national fast-payment platforms such as India’s Unified Payments Interface and Brazil’s Pix, along with central-bank digital-currency interoperability.
The event’s scale and asset figures are organiser-supplied. Its practical relevance will depend on the quality of projects presented, risk allocation, regulatory clarity, currency and settlement arrangements and the conversion of investor participation into disclosed financing commitments.
