The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved proposals worth approximately Rs 10,630 crore covering road infrastructure, social welfare, healthcare administration, cybersecurity and state facilities.
The Cabinet authorised a government guarantee for a Rs 4,600-crore loan to the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation through NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance for 12 road projects.
Ownership of 22 selected highways and major, district and rural roads will be transferred to the corporation. A further Rs 3,960 crore was approved to widen the 91.64-kilometre Seoni-Balaghat road to four lanes.
The government allocated Rs 1,740 crore for 19 welfare schemes aimed at poor and vulnerable groups.
The Cabinet approved 244 posts for the functioning of Madhya Pradesh Dhanwantri Health University in Ujjain and Rs 80 crore for the MP-CERT cybersecurity-management scheme.
An additional Rs 250.67 crore was approved for upgrading and operating Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and state guest houses in New Delhi. Amendments to the Land Purchase Policy through Mutual Consent and expanded statutory authority for the Economic Offences Wing were also approved.
Post-facto approval was granted for Rs 78 lakh in incentives for three state players and three coaches associated with India’s victory in the 2025 Women’s T20 Blind Cricket World Cup.
The package combines capital projects, guarantees and recurring commitments, and the headline amount does not alone indicate annual fiscal impact. Monitoring should distinguish direct expenditure from guaranteed borrowing and track road-project delivery, loan servicing, welfare outcomes, cybersecurity capability, staffing and procurement transparency across each component.
