Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees Celsius on Monday, which was 1.3 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the weather department.
Temperature readings varied across the national capital. Palam recorded a minimum of 25.5 degrees Celsius, while the Ridge weather station reported 24.1 degrees Celsius. Lodhi Road registered 27.6 degrees Celsius, and Ayanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category, with the city recording an average Air Quality Index of 112, according to Central Pollution Control Board data.
Under the CPCB classification, an AQI reading between zero and 50 is categorised as ‘good’, 51 to 100 as ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 as ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 as ‘poor’, 301 to 400 as ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 as ‘severe’.
The weather department has forecast generally cloudy conditions with the possibility of light rain during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 34 degrees Celsius.
